quiet…

I know. we are moms. What the heck is quiet anyway?!? I have five daughters…four live at home with me. Quiet is a very rare commodity!

The quiet my soul truly desires is that time with my Savior. The more the girls and I have going on, the busier we get, the MORE I desperately crave the quiet time I need with Jesus.

Tell me you get it. You understand right? For me it’s about more than time to pray. I can do that while I scrub the bathroom or vacuum the floor. It’s time in the word. Learning. Meditating. Trying hard to keep up with this vital part of my life while everything else is going on around me.

Truth time ya’ll. This is Monday. After teaching my bao baos this morning, I gathered up my Bible, notebook, and brand new devotion book that I got this weekend. I sat at the counter and opened my new book…and my day is so much better. It took me maybe 30 minutes. It really isn’t much in the grand scheme of life…but my soul NEEDED that time.

Here is a little tip from me to you….we all have smart phones! I have a Bible app that sends me a daily Bible verse and you can sign up for devotions on there as well. It’s called YouVersion and I love it. I get nothing from suggesting this app to ya…i just really love it!

Anyways…this is just me, letting you know how life is goin around here. Starting my day off in my Bible has made my Monday much better ya’ll!
